Our Story
On the 2nd March 1972 a group of community minded individuals met in St Ninnidhs hall, Derrylin to officially register Knockninny Credit Union Ltd.
Their aim was simple, to enhance the financial well being of the communities in Derrylin and Teemore.
Knockninny Credit Union is proud to be serving its members for more than 50 years and acknowledges the many individuals who have been involved in its success to date.
Who We Are
Knockninny Credit Union provides financial services to the local community on a not for profit basis, offering members secure savings and competitive rates on loans. Any surplus income generated is returned to members by way of dividend and loan interest rebate. Our members also benefit from life savings insurance and loan protection at no direct cost to themselves.
The credit union is owned by you our members. Our staff look after the day to day operations of the credit union under the governance of our Board of Directors, and the supervision of our Supervisory Committee.
Whilst being a community based organisation founded for the benefit of members, Knockninny Credit Union is also authorised by the Prudential Regulatory Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.
